AdvisoryNetPEST is entering a major implementation phase, with partners across Europe preparing a large programme of 135 combined demonstration and training events. These back-to-back activities aim to strengthen advisory capacities and support the wider adoption of innovative, sustainable solutions across the agricultural sector.
Hands-On Learning Through Back-to-Back Sessions
Each event will bring together a practical farm demonstration and a focused training session. Participants will first explore Novel Approaches in real farm settings and then deepen their understanding through guided learning immediately afterwards.
This format maximises impact by combining direct field experience with structured knowledge sharing.
Peer-to-peer learning is a central part of the approach: farmers and advisors gain the most when they can observe, discuss, and reflect together. By facilitating these exchanges, the events support the spread of new practices and help them take root more widely.
Strengthening Advisory Skills Across Europe
The training sessions will focus on both the technical aspects of the Novel Approaches and on facilitation skills, helping advisors improve how they communicate and demonstrate new practices to farmers. Wherever possible, the events will be organised in collaboration with national training centres and certification bodies, reinforcing local capacities.
Reaching Key Stakeholders
The main audience for these activities is the advisory community—from public advisory services to private consultants and advisors working within supply-chain companies. Whenever possible, farmers, agricultural students, and other interested groups will also be invited to participate, further broadening the reach of the project.
These events will be announced on the AdvisoryNetPEST website.
