AdvisoryNetPEST brings Closed Transfer Systems into the field

October 30, 2026

On 23 October 2026, AdvisoryNetPEST and Climate Farm Demo organised “Innovating for Safety: Closed Transfer System” at Companhia das Lezírias. The event brought together 43 participants for an afternoon of practical demonstrations, discussion and knowledge exchange around innovative approaches to crop protection.

The event gave participants first-hand experience of two Closed Transfer Systems (CTS), Easyflow and Easyconnect. The on-site demonstration provided an opportunity to discuss their practical application and their contribution to reducing the use and risk of pesticides.

From demonstration to discussion

The programme began with a guided visit to the Smart Farm. Participants were introduced to different practices and approaches aimed at reducing the use and risk of pesticides. This was followed by a practical demonstration of the Closed Transfer Systems.

The field demonstration quickly developed into an active exchange. Participants raised questions and discussed how the systems work and how they can be applied in practice.

Following the practical component, participants moved to the Coudelaria room to explore the more technical aspects of this Novel Approach. The session also opened the floor for debate around the benefits and challenges associated with this Novel Approach.

The afternoon concluded with a discussion of the main conclusions and next steps. This provided an opportunity to reflect on the topics explored throughout the event.

Bringing innovation closer to farming practice

By combining hands-on demonstrations with open discussion, the event created a valuable space for sharing knowledge and experience. It also helped bring this innovative solution closer to real farming conditions.

The event also brought different actors together around this Novel Approach to crop protection. The discussion focused on its practical application and its potential contribution to reducing the use and risk of pesticides. This exchange also highlighted its role in supporting safer and more sustainable agricultural practices.
