On 5 September 2026, Agro Poligon 2026 was held in Skołoszów, Poland, bringing together farmers, agricultural businesses, experts and policy representatives to explore innovative solutions for modern agriculture.
A Major Agricultural Event in Poland
The event attracted a wide range of stakeholders from the agricultural sector, including the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm and the Deputy Minister of Agriculture. Their presence highlighted the growing importance of innovation and sustainable solutions in European farming.
One of the main attractions of Agro Poligon 2026 was the dynamic demonstration of agricultural machinery, which took place across approximately 30 hectares. Visitors were able to observe modern machinery operating under real field conditions despite the challenging weather and strong winds.
BioKiller Captures the Attention of Farmers
As the event’s main sponsor, Akpil presented the BioKiller machine, an innovative solution submitted to the AdvisoryNetPEST project in the arable crops sector in 2025.
BioKiller is a tractor-mounted device designed to control pests affecting agricultural and horticultural crops. The machine targets several economically important pests, including cabbage whitefly, cutworms, diamondback moth, Colorado potato beetle and western corn rootworm.
Its main benefits include supporting food safety, improving crop quality, increasing farm profitability and reducing dependence on pesticide applications.
Demonstrating Innovation in Practice
Visitors had the opportunity to see the machine in operation and discuss its technical features directly with its designer, Marek Synowiecki.
The practical demonstration generated considerable interest among farmers, who increasingly seek effective and sustainable alternatives in response to stricter pesticide regulations. Discussions at the stand focused on the machine’s potential applications and its contribution to more sustainable crop protection strategies.
Promoting the AdvisoryNetPEST Network
The event also served as an opportunity to raise awareness of the AdvisoryNetPEST project. At the Akpil stand, project representatives presented the network’s objectives, achievements and ongoing activities.
Participants received information materials and learned more about the benefits of joining a Europe-wide network dedicated to sharing knowledge and innovative practices in pest management.
Supporting Sustainable Pest Management Across Europe
The strong engagement from visitors confirmed the growing interest in practical and innovative solutions that can help farmers address current challenges in crop protection.
Events such as Agro Poligon 2026 play an important role in connecting farmers, advisors, researchers and industry representatives, supporting the exchange of knowledge and accelerating the adoption of sustainable pest management approaches across Europe.
